Tower of the Americas, San Antonio, Texas

Neither Steve nor I do well with heights.  I may be just a tad better than Steve, but that’s not saying much.  Bolstered with liquid courage from The Menger, we headed over to the Tower of the Americas.  It’s a 750 foot tall landmark in San Antonio offering unparalleled 360º views of the city.  The elevator ride up is short, and of course the two of us were up against the glass that faces out.  I watched a little color drain from the face of my big, strong man, and I’m sure he saw the same in me.  Before we knew it, we were at the top.

Another cloudy day for us, so the photos aren’t the best they could be, yet it was still a win in our book.

He’s only kinda, sorta pretending to be afraid

Steve geeking out a wee bit.

Holy Toledo is was WINDY!

If you know where to look, the back side of the Alamo and the side of The Menger Hotel are in this view.

Back on terra firma, the grounds around the tower have some really nice water features.

Keep looking up ☺️
